Since 1995, Hanson Manufacturing has been in the powder paint business, boasting the largest batch booth in Minnesota. No job is too big or too small for us as we have the experience, knowledge, process, and materials to make each powder-coated part resistant to corrosion, heat, impact, abrasion, and fading from sunlight and extreme weather. We have powder coated numerous items including utility trailers, filing cabinets, industrial railings, trade show exhibits, and so much more. You name it, we can powder coat it. Our conveyor line allows for small to large parts to utilize the latest GEMA Cyclone booth technology for high powder efficiency and fast color changes. It is a 5-stage wash and infusion machine of stainless steel tanks that has a new chemical at every stage with an adhesion-boosting chemical at the last stage, which helps the coating adhere to the item. The batch line can even handle very large parts up to 30’ in length such as in trailer frames or grain boxes.

Our conveyor system utilizes a stainless steel 5 stage wash and infusion system that degreases, double rinses, applies a Nano technology chemical treatment for paint adhesion and rinses again! After drying, our GEMA Cyclone booth provides high powder efficiency and fast color changes. Our second paint line is a batch line that can handle very large parts up to 30′ in length such as trailer frames, toolbars or grain boxes. From sandblasting and powder coating to assembly and delivery, we’ve fulfilled projects for manufacturers worldwide.

What is Powder Coating?

Powder coating protects most types of metals by applying a dry, free-flowing, resin-based powder. It does not require the use of an evaporating solvent like conventional liquid paint, but rather is applied electrostatically and the powder cured by bringing the part and powder up to nearly 400 degrees. The powder flows into a continuous, but tougher and harder finish than regular paint. Powder coating is more environmentally friendly as no toxic cleaning solvents or thinners are used and during curing no Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) are emitted. Unused powder is over 90 percent reclaimed and used again, and we pass that powder savings onto you.

What can be Powder Coated?

At Hanson Manufacturing, we are able to powder coat any object that can hold an electrostatic charge and withstand very hot temperatures. Powder is useful as it can be applied to intricate surfaces and still maintain a uniform finish across the entire piece. We paint large volumes of safety equipment including railings, stairs, ladders and catwalks to the customer’s specific safety yellow or other colors. Whatever your specific color requirement, if the several powder vendors that we use every day have it, we can paint it.
